Water's Edge Group

Are you a young adult between the ages of 18 and 35, looking to learn more about your faith? Would you like to develop friendships with a solid foundation, but aren’t crazy about the idea of sitting in a church basement in order to do it? Join us for Water’s Edge, a group specifically for Washington County young adults and held usually at Jalisco’s in West Bend. This group is open to single and married, Catholic or not, of drinking age and not, who are interested in hearing good talks about topics relevant to their faith and their life! Join us on the first Tuesday of each month.

Dead Theologians Society

Who needs Youth Group when Dead Theologian’s Society is around? Named after the movie the Dead Poet’s Society, St. Peter’s Dead Theologian’s Society is part of a national organization that works in parishes to bring young people to a better understanding of their faith through the example of the saints of the past (hence Dead Theologian’s!) In addition to great fellowship and food (we always share a meal together); we strive to support one another in living for Christ. All in grades 9 through 12 are welcome to join us weekly on Wednesdays at 7:15PM in the Catacombs of Clare Hall as we learn about a new saint or aspect of the faith that can be lived in everyday life!

Guidelines for Youth Masses

Thank you for being an important part of each Holy Mass!! We need you!

Please remember the following rules:

To All Ushers, Lectors and Greeters

1.   Please arrive 30 minutes before the scheduled mass.  That is 4:30 PM before the 5:00 PM Mass

2.   Please remember the dress code: dress slacks or pants.  Shirts or blouse collars no lower than 2 finger tips below the collar bone and should have a short sleeve; expose no stomach or back area; and reach to and cover slack or pants; Skirts or dresses to the knee, and dress shoes; No shorts or spaghetti straps.

To Ushers and Greeters

3.   Do not bunch together and visit.  Position yourselves up the aisles around the sides and center of the church near open sitting areas.  Use a SMILE and your raised hand to indicate open sitting for individuals and families.  SAY HELLO OR WELCOME TO CHURCH when you are standing at the doors.

4.  After Mass is over, STRAIGHTEN OUT THE BOOKS IN THE PEWS, PUT THE KNEELERS UP, AND RETURN EXTRA BULLETINS TO THE USHERS ROOM.  IF THERE IS ANYTHING ON THE FLOOR OR LEFT IN THE PEWS, PICK IT UP!!  THIS IS GOD’S HOUSE, LET’S KEEP IT NEAT!

I will always be there if you have questions, to go over the readings, to help locate your ushers crosses, and to assist you in any way.   So very proud of all of you!

God bless!........AnnHayden
