Religious Education - Mission Statement

The St. Peter’s Youth Ministry program exists to fulfill the parish’s call to be a true Christian Community under the guidance of the Holy Spirit with the goal of encouraging Christian growth and renewal to our parish members, all those they meet, and to the surrounding communities.

Young people will be encouraged to encounter the risen-Christ in a personal way, through a blending of evangelization and catechesis that confirms the gifts of youth to this St. Peter’s faith community and to the larger Church, through instruction in the faith, through the Sacraments, through prayer, through local, regional, and national youth ministry events, through the Dead Theologian’s Society, through service and justice, and through each other.

Immaculate Heart of Mary, of St. Peter, and of St. John Bosco- Pray for Us!

Just for Fun!

Dead Theologians Society

Who needs Youth Group when Dead Theologian's Society is around? Named after the movie the Dead Poet's Society, St Peter's Dead Theologian's Society is part of a national organization that works in parishes to bring young people to a better understanding of their faith through the example of the saints of the past (hence Dead Theologians!). In addition to great fellowship and food (we always share a meal together!), we strive as a group to support one another in living for Christ- strengthening our faith in the church. All in grades 9 through 12 are welcome to join us weekly on Wednesdays at 7:15pm to 9:00pm in the Catacombs of Clare Hall as we learn about a new saint or aspect of the faith that can be lived in everyday life! Please check the calendar for dates that we do not meet.
